Sean Galvez

Sean Galvez
IV BS Psychology

"Queen Mother, tapos biglang ganito pala ang bag ko," says Sean of his backpack, but it's alright, we assured him, the metallic finish still gives off a flair.

Because he carries thick books with him to school and a lot of gadgets, this Subcrew Leather backpack does the job of carrying them all with a metallic finish.

What's in the bag of the Dollhouse Queen Mother

Clockwise from left: notebook, Ray-Bans, iPad, perfume, kikay kit, lipbalm, facial wash, Blackberry, Blackberry charger, Azta pin and wallet

"Diba, parang lalaki lang may gamit niyan?" insists Sean. Well possible, except for the single most important thing in his bag: the blue kikay kit.

"Nandiyan lahat, from wet tissues to lip balm, facial wash, perfume, mouthwash... parang banyo lang." According to Sean, this is his version of girls' kikay kit. "Everything is in that blue bag para paglabas mo sa banyo, okay na! May foundation din diyan, and 'di niyo nakikita may medicines pa diyan!"

Looks like the bag is more than meets the eye. But this line seems familiar, if you readers remember our first raid of another Dollhouse member, Third, he too carried medicine with him in case of emergency. These Dollhouse members are really girl scouts at heart!

Usually only three items would be featured in the can't-leave-without section, but we granted the Queen a special favor. Although when first asked, he immediately responded with "iPad, wallet, cell phone and shades," when asked if "kahit di ka na maging kikay?!" he pauses for a moment to think his decision through.

We finally gave in saying "O, sige, para sa Queen Mother, apat na lang"
He then continues to select his kikay kit, Ray-Bans, iPad and Blackberry. :))

Dean Rudy Ang

Dean Rodolfo "Rudy" Ang
Dean of John Gokongwei School of Management

We have all heard about his genius teaching, his brilliant management skills, even his admirable-almost-intimidating-aura that exudes both intelligence and excellence. This time, let's see more of the personal side of Dean Rudy Ang. And what better way to do this than the only way we know of here -- by raiding his everyday bag!

As we reminded Dean Ang of our BagRaid appointment, he recalls with a problematic expression, "I left my bag in the car... you need my bag." Feeling the anxiety, we were ready to accept a cancellation, but then he went ahead to get it in his car. A few minutes later, he's back carrying this Tumi leather briefcase.

He's been using his bag for six years now, "I used to use this (showing us his previous bag), but this is much better leather (new briefcase), so upgrade. When I started with this bag (old), that was what I could afford; when my purchasing power went up, I could afford this na," he shares.

Noticing the resemblance of his two bags, we asked why he prefers this certain type. "It's more professional and it's not painful in the back. Backpack kasi baduy naman; kung one side lang, mayamaya sumasakit na shoulders ko, so this is an excellent bag."

When it comes to color preference, Dean Ang actually likes brown better. He apparently has a lot of brown leather bags at home for traveling, but then for office, he considers black a more practical option because it goes better with formal apparel.

What's in the bag of the formidable JGSOM Dean

L-R: MacBook Air, Spare iPhone battery, hard drive, Apple projector adapter, multiple and remote flash drive, earphones, laptop and iPhone chargers, Smart Bro dongle, Nokia phone, iPhone, checkbooks and passbooks

Earlier, he had to get his briefcase from his car because he often just takes out what he needs from the bag. "If I go to the bank, I take out just my checkbook; if I'm making a presentation, I bring my projector adapter, but if I don't expect to make a presentation, nasa bag ko lang siya. May wi-fi naman dito so I don't need my Smart Bro. If I'm in a coffee shop, then I'm going to bring it down."

"I bring my bag but I don't always carry it out. I don't always need everything all the time." His practicality notably applies even in the simplest habits.

The only things he brings all the time are his phone and his laptop. When asked if he is really a gadget person, he says he's not very technical when it comes to those things. He uses a lot of gadgets but he admits not being an expert when it comes to these things. However, when he travels out of the country, his bag is packed with them.

One missing essential is his Kindle which, he shares, is a mainstay in his car. That explains why despite being a fan of Mac, he doesn't have an iPad. "I was gifted with a Kindle just this year that's why I didn't buy an iPad, but I'm waiting for the next model to come out."

On his preference for Apple gadgets: "It's all purchasing power you know. As my purchasing power goes up I'm able to buy more. Dati mas maliit ang purchasing power, I can't afford Apple, so I can't indulge. But now that im into Apple, parang I'm... hooked." True as they say, once you go Mac, you never go back!

Nikki Paras

Nikki Paras
III BS Management

Nikki always brings this type of bag, she says. Small and easy to bring around, she prefers this type rather than shoulder bags which, according to her, are "hot".

What's in the bag of this chic fashionista from Cebu

Clockwise from left: make-up kit, mini notebook, big notebook, cologne, perfume, umbrella, keys, iTouch, wallet, Orbit gum, Aviator shades, pens, wallet, and her two cell phones - one Globe, the other for Sun

Notebooks
She has two notebooks -- a big one which she uses to take down notes for all of her subjects and a tiny one which serves as a planner.

Cologne and perfume
Normally, a girl will only bring either a perfume or cologne, but Nikki here has both! She sprays perfume when she's off the campus, and cologne when she's just in class.

Make-up kit
A typical girly and fashionista student, Nikki cannot leave the house without her make-up kit. However, it's not the make-up which she holds most important, but her trusty inhaler and medicine. Being asthmatic, she has to be prepared at all times in case of attacks and other emergencies.

Shades
An interesting thing we found in her bag are shades which she says she brings all the time. She shares, "Even when it's raining, I bring my shades... I don't know why."

The top three essentials she would most likely bring if ever her already small bag even gets smaller are her wallet, her Globe phone and... wanna make a guess on the third one? Why, of course, it would be her make-up kit which contains her inhaler and medicine!

Vince Lee

Vince Tan Lee
III BS Communications Technology Management

If you're an Atenean, you've probably seen his buoyant smiles and heard his infectious laughter already. It's hard enough not to notice his radiating vivacity, how much harder would it be if it comes with huge designer bags to boot?

It isn't everyday that we get to see what's inside the LV of one of the familiar faces around campus; today, however, seems to be our lucky day. "I like bringing over-sized bags 'cause you can just stuff everything inside." True enough, this is what Vince does.

What's in the bag of the posh and classy Vince Lee

Clockwise from top: Over-sized LV wallet, fashion magazine, iTouch and earphones, Versace perfume, compact umbrella, D40 Nikon DSLR, Prada pouch/pencil case, pocket notebook, laptop, Prada card holder

Quite a few things, but they say a lot about him. Known for his high fashion taste, we expected to find a collection of Pradas and Louis in his bag. What took us by surprise though, is the fact that they were bought from Vince's own stash. "Of course I bought it from allowance and like angpaos," was his bubbly response to our awestruck faces. Yes you got it right, he doesn't just splurge away, Vince actually saves for these splendid treats..even the big bad Nikon.

Impressed already? We haven't even told you how his wonderful personality could turn even the most dreary activities something more like him - fun and appealing. As you would notice, this school bag is seemingly short of a notebook for lectures. When asked if he brings any legit notebooks with him, he answers "No, I don't really have a notebook, I just scribble everything in that tiny one." If you can see the artsy doodles above, you'll find them to be really so Vince! Plus, it's actually a more interesting and enjoyable way to jot down reminders and notes from daily class discussions.

Prada vs. LV? No, this doesn't seem to be the case. His top three essentials are actually his big LV wallet, his compact Prada card holder and his versatile Prada pouch which holds his gadgets and serves as his pencil case as well.

Wait, two Pradas vs. one LV? So Prada wins?
Let's not push the feud, Vince clarifies that he doesn't really favor a certain brand, it simply depends on which pieces look better.

Vince admits he is a pouch person, it keeps his things more organized especially since he loves using more spacious ones. This one here houses his Globe and Sun cell phones, iTouch and a few pens.
He actually bought this Prada when he was thirteen, using his own savings! It was his first, he shares.

Isn't it just amazing how he can manage to budget his own passion for high fashion to-die-for pieces? For that all we can say is that you truly deserve all the splendid things, Vince!

Kirk Long

Kirk
Jeffrey Kirk Long
IV AB Interdisciplinary Studies

DSC_0726
Viewers have all been used to seeing school bags getting raided. Well, the LONG wait is over! This time, you guys are about to take a peek inside the training bag of the on and off court heartthrob, who's come a LONG way since his beginnings in the UAAP.

Things3
What's in the bag of this Blue Eagle hardcourt heartthrob

Clockwise from left: towel, Nike rubber shoes, "tsinelas", school ID, car keys, deodorant, hand gripper, Hello Kitty band-aid, iPod, bubble gum and extra clothes

Music and Gripper
To help pass time, Kirk listens to music in his iPod before practice and even before games. The gripper, on the other hand, makes Kirk's hands stronger, since according to him, he has small fingers. This helps him hold the ball stronger, firmer and tighter during games.

Nike Boy
Kirk is a Nike endorser since freshman year in Ateneo and that's where his bag came from. As for the shoes, four other players actually own the same pair. When asked if they were his favorite, he said, "The color's pretty unique and I never had a color that bright blue so they've been fun to wear. They don't really match our uniform blue very well but they stand out."
It must have been wonderful for Kirk when Nike sponsored the Ateneo Blue Eagle team this year for he says, "I've always liked Nike even when I was a kid. I think most of my idols that I looked up to were always Nike, like MJ."

The Story Behind the #12
"It's the only number available when I came in".
Growing up with basketball as his sport, Kirk has always been jersey #11. But s
ince current Blue Eagles team captain, Eric Salamat, is a year older than Kirk, he got the number first. And because #11 was close to #12, Kirk got the latter. :)

An Interesting Find
What's with the Hello Kitty band-aid? Though not a fan of the Sanrio character, he says he finds it funny and carries this band-aid which was just given to him.

On Charms
He said he has a lucky charm but it isn't really found in his bag. He wears some of his old high school uniforms in some practices just to remember the days when "playing basketball was a lot easier". In fact, he used to have old-school socks (
not high-socks but mid-socks) that he would bring for special games. But other than that, he isn't really into having lucky charms.

Three2
All things found in Kirk's bag are definitely important to him every training. Yet, he shared four things that he can't really go to practice without:

First in line were his underwear and shorts. "My
brief (hidden in the picture :p) is very important."

Kidding aside, he practically mentioned, "the
towel because of the sweat and then after practice I have to go home for like 30 minutes to shower and it's hard to shower without a towel." He also added his soap which was missing at that time. Finally, he chose his shoes for he always gets scared as to how to get back or find his shoes if he forgets to bring them to practice. "It's easy to borrow just other stuff from my teammates, but to play without my shoes is more difficult. I can live without music and if I smell bad, I'm playing sports so my teammates should understand."

Before ending this post, the BagRaiders would like to greet this 3-point Blue Eagle shooter who just celebrated his birthday last September 1!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KIRK! :)

Robi Domingo

Robi Domingo
III BS Health Science

Bag Raiders have set to rummage through the bag of the famous Robi due to very high public demand. There's got to be more to his good looks and charm to have gained so much supporters. Let's find out!

The bag is not a mere endorsement, it's a personal choice: "I prefer backpacks than knapsacks because they're more comfortable. For me, I like bringing lots of gadgets, and as opposed to using a backpack, 'yung messenger bag medyo nakaka-strain sa shoulders."

And when he said he brings a lot of gadgets, he meant it. These are just several of the many techie things that Robi always takes with him to school; one essential item was left in the car--his iPad. Among the hefty amount of cables and wires in the photo above, Robi brings his Smart Bro dongle, cell phone chargers and extension cord for his devices. Seems like he's made sure he'll always stay connected, eh?

What's in the bag of this true blue former PBB Housemate

Clockwise from top: Cell phones, chargers, readings, ruler, two scientific calculators, shades, card board, pens, highlighter, market, Ricola candy, notepad, Sony VAIO laptop, Smart Bro internet dongle, Man's Search for the Meaning book, breath mints, Clinique Happy for Men perfume, laptop charger and extension cord

Notice "card board" somewhere in the list above? That's no trash or scratch, Robi actually writes on top of it; he doesn't like it when his writing marks through the next page or when the surface of the table is uneven. That's why he puts the board under whatever he writes on. O.C. huh?

Wonder why he has two calculators in one bag? One of those is older and that's what he always uses for school. But during sophomore year, a classic buster happened: the calculator was missing during his exam day. Robi bought a new one, and by the start of junior year his friends returned it to him. Turns out he left it somewhere and they found it. Now he brings both just for extra, "in case someone might need it," he shares.

Fun fact: Robi is one quick reader. Thinking it was required for Philo, he read the book,
Man's Search for the Meaning, in one day, only to find out it was not necessary. But since he got hooked to it, he decided to continue reading it anyway.

White much? Robi loves the colors white and blue; white especially for gadgets. "It's clean-looking and I don't know, there's something in white that makes you look intelligent."

As for the stickers you spot on his things, they are not price tags. Robi labels his possessions with his name --- impressively organized for a young man!
