Viewers have all been used to seeing school bags getting raided. Well, the LONG wait is over! This time, you guys are about to take a peek inside the training bag of the on and off court heartthrob, who's come a LONG way since his beginnings in the UAAP.

Things3
What's in the bag of this Blue Eagle hardcourt heartthrob

Clockwise from left: towel, Nike rubber shoes, "tsinelas", school ID, car keys, deodorant, hand gripper, Hello Kitty band-aid, iPod, bubble gum and extra clothes

Music and Gripper
To help pass time, Kirk listens to music in his iPod before practice and even before games. The gripper, on the other hand, makes Kirk's hands stronger, since according to him, he has small fingers. This helps him hold the ball stronger, firmer and tighter during games.

Nike Boy
Kirk is a Nike endorser since freshman year in Ateneo and that's where his bag came from. As for the shoes, four other players actually own the same pair. When asked if they were his favorite, he said, "The color's pretty unique and I never had a color that bright blue so they've been fun to wear. They don't really match our uniform blue very well but they stand out."
It must have been wonderful for Kirk when Nike sponsored the Ateneo Blue Eagle team this year for he says, "I've always liked Nike even when I was a kid. I think most of my idols that I looked up to were always Nike, like MJ."

The Story Behind the #12
"It's the only number available when I came in".
Growing up with basketball as his sport, Kirk has always been jersey #11. But s
ince current Blue Eagles team captain, Eric Salamat, is a year older than Kirk, he got the number first. And because #11 was close to #12, Kirk got the latter. :)

An Interesting Find
What's with the Hello Kitty band-aid? Though not a fan of the Sanrio character, he says he finds it funny and carries this band-aid which was just given to him.

On Charms
He said he has a lucky charm but it isn't really found in his bag. He wears some of his old high school uniforms in some practices just to remember the days when "playing basketball was a lot easier". In fact, he used to have old-school socks (
not high-socks but mid-socks) that he would bring for special games. But other than that, he isn't really into having lucky charms.

Three2
All things found in Kirk's bag are definitely important to him every training. Yet, he shared four things that he can't really go to practice without:

First in line were his underwear and shorts. "My
brief (hidden in the picture :p) is very important."

Kidding aside, he practically mentioned, "the
towel because of the sweat and then after practice I have to go home for like 30 minutes to shower and it's hard to shower without a towel." He also added his soap which was missing at that time. Finally, he chose his shoes for he always gets scared as to how to get back or find his shoes if he forgets to bring them to practice. "It's easy to borrow just other stuff from my teammates, but to play without my shoes is more difficult. I can live without music and if I smell bad, I'm playing sports so my teammates should understand."

Before ending this post, the BagRaiders would like to greet this 3-point Blue Eagle shooter who just celebrated his birthday last September 1!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KIRK! :)
